Control thresholds and economic injury levels were determined for Acyrthosiphon pisum on peas in southern and central Sweden from observations in 1982-90. Yield losses were calculated to be 18 kg/ha for every aphid per stem tip. For 1991, the control threshold was 3-4 aphids/stem tip at the early pod stage. The economic injury level was then 13 aphids/stem tip, corresponding to a yield loss of 230 kg/ha.
