Seeds from 158 somaclones regenerated from mature seed-derived calluses cultured in the presence of 0-4 g NaCl/litre were sown in the greenhouse. Yield and 9 panicle and leaf characters were evaluated at harvest. Wide phenotypic variability was observed and confirmed by the analysis of principal components.
