Analysis of tillage tool geometry

Analysis of tillage tool geometry

Paper American Society of Agricultural Engineers ( 93-1091): 23 pp.

The basic principles of a soil-tillage tool system are discussed. An analytical description of tillage tools is presented and functional equations for towed, towed rotary, powered rotary, and powered vibratory tools are considered. A mathematical equation for the macroshape of passive tillage tools was developed. The equation includes the main geometrical parameters and can be used for designing many different tillage tools.
