Analysis of trade flow response to changes in exchange rates and trade barriers: the case of US almond producers

Analysis of trade flow response to changes in exchange rates and trade barriers: the case of US almond producers

Dissertation Abstracts International A, Humanities and Social Sciences 52(7): p.2652

World trade in almonds can be described as trade in differentiated products, with almond varieties and packaging techniques from each supplying nation containing characteristics that distinguish them from other suppliers. An almond trade model which distinguishes almonds by place of origin is developed. The model includes demand equations for US and Mediterranean produced almonds, price transmission equations, and market clearing identities.
