Analysis of yield in sugarcane on the basis of Grafius' geometric model

Analysis of yield in sugarcane on the basis of Grafius' geometric model

Revista Industrial y Agricola de Tucuman 67(2): 117-145

Grafius' geometric model was applied to 20 hybrid progenies each represented by a random sample of 25-30 genotypes. At selection stage II (clonal plots) plants were analysed for sugar yield/unit area and 6 yield components. For geometric representation the main yield component stalk number (x), stalk weight (y) and percentage cane sugar (z) are depicted as the 3 sides of a cube.
