Analysis using graphs and growth rate

The article evaluates the relative merits of different methods of calculating growth rates, using sugarcane and soyabean production figures for Sao Paulo, Brazil, in the period 1942/43-1987/88 (time-series, regression, t-test). A comparison is also made of growth rates in various sub-periods, particularly 10-year sub-periods.
