Analytical study of social forestry programme in Gujarat State with special reference to factors associated with successful implementation of farm forestry and village woodlot in Valsad District

Gujarat Agricultural University Research Journal 16(2): 101-102

Data (mainly socioeconomic) relating to the success of the Gujarat social forestry programme were collected by interviewing 210 respondents (20 village panchayats, 140 farmers and 50 forestry extension personnel). Success of the programme was measured in terms of adoption at individual and community levels, and at organizational level (as job performance of the extension workers); constraints were also identified.
