Anatomical features and mechanical properties of three Malaysian bamboos

Journal of Tropical Forest Science 2(3): 227-234

Data are reported and discussed on the physical (basic density, moisture content, diameter and thickness), strength, and anatomical (vascular bundle distribution and size, and fibre dimensions) properties of 1-3 yr old specimens of Bambusa blumeana, B. vulgaris var. striata and Gigantochloa scortechinii.
