Anatomical model for rectal examination of horses

Anatomical model for rectal examination of horses

Wiener Tierarztliche Monatsschrift 80(7): 225-228

A anatomical model of a horse is presented for students to practise rectal examination during practical demonstrations. It offers the possibility to repeat anatomical knowledge, to practise rectal examination under supervision and to simulate different physiological and pathological situations. The model is polyester built in scale 1:1. The organs are partly artificial, partly taken from slaughtered animals.
