Anatomical studies on ectomycorrhizas I. The ectomycorrhizas produced by Thelephora terrestris on Pinus patula

Mycorrhiza 3(1): 39-42

Ectomycorrhizas of 5-month-old P. patula plants grown in autoclaved shola soil (forest soil) inoculated with basidiospores of T. terrestris are described, with emphasis on the organization of the mantle tissue as seen in plan view and the features of associated hyphae and strands.
