Anatomy of a sustainable model for universal female literacy: a case of Chakrala valley in Mianwali district of Punjab

The problem of female literacy is one that requires much attention. This paper adopts a method using a case study based on data related to a limited area, but giving conclusive proof of the validity or invalidity of a specific explanation. A very low income area in a backward rural district of the Pakistan Punjab, was selected for the study, to examine the impact of factors inhibiting female literacy.
