Animal production systems research in developing countries: overview and perspectives

Animal production systems research in developing countries: overview and perspectives

Proceedings, VII World Conference on Animal Production, Edmonton, Alberta, Canada, June 28 July 2, 1993 Volume 1 Invited papers: 329-348

The current state of animal production in developing countries is discussed. An analysis of supply and demand of livestock products, and trends in human population, economic growth and urbanisation, indicate a substantial requirement for increased production. The application of systems research to these complex problems is discussed.
