An annotated bibliography of 192 references on the eastern larch beetle, Dendroctonus simplex, is presented. The beetle is a phloem-feeding bark beetle occurring throughout North America. Its principal host is tamarack (Larix laricina). The bibliography includes references from the original description in 1868 to 1987.
