This article examines the Italian cooperation programme for the introduction of traditional medicine to the primary health care system in Mali and its regional centre of traditional medicine in Bandiagara. The activities in this centre have been launched to organize the network of healers and introduce traditional medicine to primary health care structures. Traditional healers meet as an association each month.
