Barley yellow dwarf viruses in wheat, endophyte-infected and endophyte-free tall fescue, and other hosts in Arkansas

, : Barley yellow dwarf viruses in wheat, endophyte-infected and endophyte-free tall fescue, and other hosts in Arkansas. Plant Disease 77(3): 225-228

An indirect ELISA was used for PAV, RPV and MAV serotypes of barley yellow dwarf luteovirus (BYDV) in symptomatic and randomly collected samples from commercial wheat plantings and in other hosts that may be important sources of BYDV for infection of autumn-planted wheat in Arkansas, USA. In symptomatic wheat samples, PAV serotypes were predominant (97%), RPV serotypes were found occasionally (3%) and no MAV serotypes were found.
