For adult and yearling Kalmyk camels, adult Mongolian camels and Kalmyk x Mongolian camels, the percentage of undercoat + heterotype fibres in flank wool averaged 84.5, 73.4, 75.9, 72.6 and 82.6 respectively, and fibre fineness 26.4, 27.32, 22.44, 22.41 and 24.32 micro m. In the 3 Kalmyk groups and the Mongolians, the percentage of undercoat + heterotype fibres in neck wool averaged 47.6, 50.0, 67.0 and 38.6 respectively, and fibre fineness 38.6, 31.02, 24.36 and 34.3 micro m.
