Basic aspects of introducing in-house quality assurance for food manufacturers in compliance with the series of standard guidelines DIN ISO 9000-9004 (Germany), corresponding to EC standards 29000-29004, are outlined. It is stressed that quality assurance and innovative quality management within the framework of these standards are complex - each enterprise must find its own solutions.
