The first chapter of this book describes how honey bees make wax and use it for comb construction, and the physical and chemical properties of beeswax. The second chapter, on processing beeswax, deals with rendering, solar wax extractors, the wax press and steam chest, processing tanks and bleaching and filtering. A short chapter on the use of beeswax in cosmetics and pharmaceuticals includes recipes for ointment, hand cream etc.
