Biological control of rice sheath blight by Bacillus cereus R2

B. cereus str. R2 was isolated from rice plants and shown to promote growth and increase yield of rice. The bacterium was strongly inhibitory to mycelial growth of Rhizoctonia solani AG-1 on PDBA and suppressed sclerotial germination.
