ISSN/ISBN: 0249-5627

Information on heritability and genetic variation is derived from data on phyllochron, duration of leaf elongation, adult leaf length, leaf elongation rate, and the mean number of growing leaves per tiller in 58 half-sib families derived from a polycross, and control cultivars Vigor and Preference, planted in a space-limited experiment. Estimates of narrow sense heritability were highest for leaf length.
