Characterization of two cDNAs (ERD11 and ERD13) for dehydration-inducible genes that encode putative glutathione S-transferases in Arabidopsis thaliana L

Two cDNA clones, designated ERD11 and ERD13 (GenBank/EMBL/DDBJ accession numbers D17672 and D17673, respectively), were isolated from a cDNA library from Arabidopsis thaliana plants dehydrated for 1 h, and were subsequently sequenced and characterized. ERD11 and ERD13 both consist of 862 bp, and encode polypeptides with molecular weights of 23 546 and 24 230 Da, respectively.
