An 8 X 8 diallel cross (excluding reciprocals) was conducted during 1985-86 and data were subsequently recorded for 12 traits in the F1s and parents grown during 1986-87. The information thus obtained was compared to that obtained by partial diallel and 6 line X 2 tester analyses.
