In field trials in Bursa province, Turkey, on an alluvial soil in 1986 and on a Vertisol in 1987, maize G-5050 was given 0, 50, 100, 150, 200, 250 or 300 kg N/ha as urea or ammonium nitrate. The best grain yields were obtained with 250 kg N.
