Comparison study on the influence of irrigation with saline water using furrow and drip irrigation on tomato production and salt distribution in soils

Proceedings 16th ICID European Regional Conference Vol 1 Drought phenomena: 161-170

Tomato production and yield quality were evaluated as functions of irrigation with artesian water (EC 4.6 dS/m) under drip and furrow irrigation. Different irrigation regimes corresponding to 50%, 75%, 100% and 125% of the ETM were tested. The salt distribution and accumulation at different distances from the water source with the various soil depths under the variable watering volumes for the two irrigation systems were also studied.
