Composition and properties of humic acids of virgin and arable soils and newly formed humic substances

The elemental composition, carbohydrate content, amino acids, functional groups and degree of aromaticity of soil humic acids and of newly formed substances were studied. In soil humic acids there is an increase of content of aromatic carbon- and nitrogen-containing components and that of acid functional groups.
