Forage, dual and grain types of 54 genotypes of sorghum, selected from adapted, unadapted, elite and primitive types, were raised at Garden City (under irrigated conditions, with 140 000 plants/ha and under dryland conditions, 67 000 plants/ha) and at Hays (dryland conditions, 67 000 plants/ha), Kansas, USA, during summer 1986 and 1987.
