Determination of paraquat by cathodic stripping voltammetry after accumulation through the formation of an ion pair on a hanging mercury drop electrode



Electroanalysis 5(1): 79-83



The formation of ion pairs is used to greatly enhance the sensitivity of cathodic stripping measurements at the hanging mercury drop electrode (HMDE). Such a scheme is illustrated for the trace determination of paraquat. Factors affecting the response are explored.
