Echographic study of pregnancy in dogs

Echographic study of pregnancy in dogs

Medicina Veterinaria 10(6): 345...354

Echograms of 33 dogs were taken periodically from 14 days after mating to the time of parturition. The earliest date for positive diagnosis of pregnancy was 21 days after mating, with the embryo visible after 23 days. Ossificaton took place between 34-40 days after mating and the development of most of the organs could be observed between days 35-50. The embryonic vesicle diameter, biparietal diameter, trunk diameter, crown-rump length and femur length were measured.
