Ecological analysis of black ash (Fraxinus nigra) stands on the shore of Lake Duparquet, northwest Quebec

Ecological analysis of black ash (Fraxinus nigra) stands on the shore of Lake Duparquet, northwest Quebec

Canadian Journal of Botany 70(11): 2294-2302

Spring and early summer flooding is one of the main factors affecting the dynamics of black ash (Fraxinus nigra) stands on lake floodplains in the boreal forest. The effect of flooding on the vegetation was studied in five stands on the shore of Lake Duparquet in Abitibi, northwestern Quebec.
