In field trials in NE Poland in 1977-82, potatoes Sowa and Tarpan were grown in the following rotations: (a) potatoes/spring barley/winter rye/maize/spring barley; (b) potatoes/spring barley/potatoes/maize/spring barley; (c) potatoes/spring barley/potatoes/maize/potatoes. Data are given on weight of above-ground parts and leaves, LAI and number and weight of tubers/plant for both cultivars in relation to their position in the rotations.
