Ecological aspects of application of polymer composites in agricultural machines

The use of polymer composites to make sprockets, gears and other transmission parts for agricultural machinery is discussed. The advantages of polymer parts over metal ones include lower mass, reduced noise and greater resistance to hostile conditions. In addition, polymer parts do not require lubrication or electroplating.
