Ecological aspects of forest malaria in southeast Asia

Ecological aspects of forest malaria in southeast Asia

Forest malaria in southeast Asia: proceedings of an informal consultative meeting WHO/MRC, 18-22 February 1991: 1-28

Ecological diversity determines the persistence of forest-related malaria systems in the countries of Southeast Asia. Stability of these systems is particularly remarkable in the central sections of the ecosystem (deep forest, forest fringes) and, to a lesser extent, in the peripheral areas. This chapter examines the ecology of forest malaria in Southeast Asia under a number of headings.
