Ecological features of differentiation of meadow vegetation



Botanicheskii Zhurnal 77(6): 30-42



The influence of hydrological and geochemical features of landscapes and the position of meadows in a landscape-ecological series on the differentiation of meadow-type vegetation is discussed. The leading ecological factors for meadow-type vegetation and its main landscape-ecological series, and their zonal changes are considered with reference to upland, lowland, solonchak (halophytic), mountain (petrophytic) and high mountain (alpine and sub-alpine) meadows.
