Ecological notes on the composition and structure of the population of Coleoptera in the Babor National Park (Algeria)

Ecological notes on the composition and structure of the population of Coleoptera in the Babor National Park (Algeria)

Mededelingen van de Faculteit Landbouwwetenschappen, Rijksuniversiteit Gent 57(3A): 617-626

The coleopteran population was sampled monthly in April-September 1989 on 5 plots in the Babor National Park in Algeria. A total of 209 species was identified. Analysis showed that the population was diverse, structured and stable. Construction of a dendrogram showed that the plots could be separated into 2 groups (4 forest plots with a similarity of 20-31% and a garrigue plot). Factorial analysis showed temporal and seasonal differences.
