Ecological notes on the species of the subfamily Tersilochinae (Hymenoptera, Ichneumonidae) in Bulgaria

Ecological notes on the species of the subfamily Tersilochinae (Hymenoptera, Ichneumonidae) in Bulgaria

Ekologiya, Bulgaria ( 23): 79-83

An analysis was made of the flight periods of 55 species of Tersilochinae in Bulgaria and western Europe, and also their altitudes of occurrence, on the basis of observations in Bulgaria in 1975-84 (and some examinations of collection material) and European data of Horstmann. In Bulgaria there are 2 flight maxima, at the beginning of June and end of July. Species which have a flight period of more than 2 months at the same altitude probably have more than one generation a year.
