Ecological relationships of some montane grasses

Ecological relationships of some montane grasses

Dissertation Abstracts International B, Sciences and Engineering 53(1): 59B

Relationships between species, vegetation and environment in N. Snowdonia grasslands were examined at different scales using both quantitative and experimental approaches. In a survey of 166 quadrats on 10 transects, existing classification (TWINSPAN) and ordination (DCA, CCA + DCCA) methods were tested and compared with new fuzzy methods. Fuzzy clustering provided a 75.3% agreement with the TWINSPAN result. Fuzzy ordination agreed with DCA.
