Increasing environmental awareness has led to the development of an ecological movement in most developed countries of the world which has become a constitutive part of many economic and political policies and programmes, including those concerned with tourism development. Awareness of the environment, its value and the need to preserve it influences humans as individuals and causes changes in their lifestyles.
