Ecology of a Formosan termite, Reticulitermes flaviceps flaviceps (Oshima)

Ecology of a Formosan termite, Reticulitermes flaviceps flaviceps (Oshima)

Chinese Journal of Entomology (Special ication 6): 137-145

The ecology of Reticulitermes flaviceps flaviceps was studied in Taiwan. Its distribution was restricted to less windy microhabitats where wood or wooden products were present, with temperatures of 16-35 degrees C and RH 75-95%. The species lived in highly integrated colonies in nests of very variable construction in the ground or infested wood.
