Econometric modelling of hotel occupancy rates: an introduction using Singapore data

Econometric modelling of hotel occupancy rates: an introduction using Singapore data

Discussion Paper Department of Economics/Institute of Industry Economics, University of Newcastle ( 44): 31pp.

The paper provides a survey of literature relating to econometric modelling of hotel occupancy rates in Singapore. Only studies that can be said to bear directly on the estimation of the hotel occupancy rate equation are taken into account. The work of Ellerbrock and Wells (1982); Fujii, Khaled and Mak (1985); Choy (1985); Carey (1989); Crossman and Ramm (1990) and Sawbridge (1990) are reviewed.
