Economic advantage of triticale incorporation in animal diet

Economic advantage of triticale incorporation in animal diet

Annales de l' Institut National de la Recherche Agronomique de Tunisie 66(1/2): 245-254

Studies with a linear model showed that incorporation of triticale at an average level of 21% in ruminant diets and 6.6% in poultry diets reduced their cost by 2.4 and 1.7%, respectively. The marginal cost of energy was decreased in ruminant feeds. 85% maize and 8.5% soyabean meal are needed in poultry diets, before using triticale.
