Increasing awareness and stricter legal regulations demand higher standards for cleaning industrial waste water. These waste waters differ from communal sewage: amounts are comparatively low, but organic load is high. The waste waters are characterized by some almost undegradable substances. For industrial enterprises that run their own sewage treatment plants, such as manufacturers of fruit juice, breweries and dairies, staple tanks aerated by pure oxygen are useful.
