Economic analysis of Acacia auriculaeformis plantation in Gaya District of Bihar

An economic (cost and return) analysis was carried out of a plantation of (predominantly) Acacia auriculaeformis (Acacia auriculiformis) established in 1973 at Ghagar by the Bihar Forest Department, and exploited in 1988-89 by the State Trading Division in Gaya District. At the time of exploitation only 14 109 trees out of 69 600 planted (20.27%) had survived.
