Economic analysis of integrated viticulture production based on the experience in Valais (Vitival)

Economic analysis of integrated viticulture production based on the experience in Valais (Vitival)

Revue Suisse de Viticulture, d' Aboriculture et d' Horticulture 24(4): 207-211

Integrated production aims at optimizing the entire set of production techniques in relation to environmental and economic requirements. It is increasingly being applied to viticulture, particularly in Valais, Switzerland. This paper presents the costs of pesticides and fertilizers and a comparison is drawn between integrated and conventional types of production. Savings due to lower levels of inputs in the integrated system are almost offset by additional costs of control and analyses.
