Economic analysis of prawn culture in Asia

Economic analysis of prawn culture in Asia

Aquaculture in Asia: Proceedings of the 1990 APO Symposium on Aquaculture Keelung, Taiwan, ROC 5-13 September, 1990: 201-222

The relationship between output and income, expenditure and profit in aquaculture farms is analysed, based on two kinds of criteria: size of farm or culture area, and productivity per unit area. The results of the analysis show that prawn culture in Asia will continue to increase in the future, leading to a further decline in the international price of prawns.
