Economic analysis of watershed management programme in outer Himalaya: a case study of operational research project, Fakot

The Operational Research Project (Bhaintan watershed) at Fakot in the Tehri Garhwal district of Uttar Pradesh was set up to demonstrate the efficiency of soil and water conservation technologies on a watershed basis. Various soil and water conservation measures were undertaken in the watershed from 1975/76-1987/88.
