Agricultural Resources Situation and Outlook ( AR-29): 40-43



A method for designing and simulating economic returns and environmental characteristics of alternative production systems is developed. A net present value model was constructed for intertemporal economic comparisons, and the SMART-FRMS computer system was used to simulate environmental characteristics of the cropping sequences.
