Economic effects of European integration

The sectoral effects of Austrian participation or non-participation in increased European integration through the EC Single Market, the EC/EFTA economic association agreement, the opening up of Eastern Europe and freer trade under GATT are examined. The sectors which would be most damaged by Austrian non-participation and those which would need to make fairly radical adjustments to participate in integration are listed.
