Effect and after-effect of trace element fertilizers on the trace element content in fodder crops

In field trials on peat-bog soil in the forest zone of Belarus in 1981-84, barley Favorit was given 2-15 kg Cu, 0.75-4.5 kg B and 0.5-3.0 kg Mo/ha and the residual effects on Trifolium hybridum were studied in the 2 subsequent years. Cu contents in barley grain and straw and T. hybridum hay were 2.31, 1.65 and 2.57-2.60 mg/kg DM, respectively, without trace element fertilizers and increased to 6.03, 3.75 and 5.45-5.61 mg/kg at the highest Cu rate.
