Abstract
Data on soil K contents at various depths are presented following application of K fertilizers over 50 years to a 11-course crop rotation in an experiment in the Ukraine. Soil K contents decreased to 5.4 t/ha over this period. The K balance in soil was maintained with annual applications of 50 + 49 + 56 kg N + P + K/ha in both mineral and organic forms.
