Effect of different irrigation frequencies on the yield and yield components of wheat cultivars
An experiment was laid out to investigate the effect of various irrigation frequencies on the yield and yield components of wheat at Sindh Agriculture University, Tandojam during 1986-87. There were 3-irrigation levels viz., 5, 4 and 3 irrigation with different intervals, with 4-cultivars viz, M-141, M-154, M-5/84 and Pavon respectively. The irrigation frequencies had no significant effect on the grain yield of all the cultivars. Whereas in case of yield components under five irrigations, 1000-grain weight was maximum (46.77 gm) and was highly significantly affected by irrigation frequencies.
